A critique of holographic dark energy

Observations restrict the parameter space of Holographic Dark Energy (HDE) so that a turning point in Hubble $H(z)$ is inevitable. Concretely, cosmic microwave background (CMB), baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) and Type Ia supernovae (SNE) data put future, but removing SNE results an observational at positive redshift. From perspective theory, not only does violate Null Condition (NEC), as we argue, it may be interpreted evolution constant $H_0$ with redshift, which odds very FLRW framework within has been analysed. Tellingly, neither these are problems for flat $\Lambda$CDM model, direct comparison fits further disfavours HDE relative to $\Lambda$CDM.
